To welcome students into the 2025–2026-year, Patriot hosted a back-to-school pep rally. The gym was radiating with school spirit as students competed in class games, participated in chants and celebrated our amazing staff and students here at Patriot.

The pep rally was planned by students from leadership and sports marketing. “Patriot High School is your school; we want you to be happy about being here,” Leadership teacher Mrs. Lenahan said on why school spirit is important. Having students help set up and participate in pep rallies gives them a chance to show school spirit and help their school community. Students can participate in fun games competing for their grade level. The seniors took home the win in this pep rally after competing in a game of tug of war against every other class.

This pep rally recognized our amazing patriot staff. This year Patriot made a bigger effort to recognize the custodial and cafeteria staff. These people take care of students and the school daily, and this year, it was important for them to feel extra appreciation. Students from leadership, sports marketing, cheer and the dance team created tunnels for staff members to walk through while they were cheered on by their pioneer community. It is important for students to recognize all the work that goes into making their school a safe and fun community.

The dance and cheer team really brought pioneer spirit. The dance team performed a short dance in the middle of the pep rally and helped cheer on students during the games. The Patriot cheer team stood on the sidelines doing stunts and chants to hype the students’ sections up for games and performances.
