Unfortunately, many of these devices are tainted with the stain of unethically mined cobalt used in the manufacturing of their batteries. Tier 1 battery material suppliers often take little to no regard for the ethical status of sourcing plants, ultimately leading to us, and our devices, having to bear a heavy ethical burden.
